Included in the 2007 selection of Entrepreneur magazine’s Annual
Franchise Awards, Gloria Jean’s Coffees was adjudged one of the Best
Foreign Franchises and Best in Franchising Support.
INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
'2006 International Franchisor of the Year' by the Franchising &
Licensing Association Singapore (FLA)
Gloria Jean's Coffees won the award ahead of franchisors from around
the world invited to vie for the title by the World Franchise
Council comprising of 36 member countries. The award recognizes the
most outstanding franchisor for its success and performance in its
own country and for establishing a benchmark for all franchising
businesses.
Premier's NSW Exporter of the Year Awards '2006
Emerging Exporter Award'
Part of a national program run by the Australian Institute of
Export, this award recognizes the outstanding export achievement of
an enterprise within a three year period. The NSW Export Awards
program, strongly supported by the NSW Department of State &
Regional Development and “blue chip” sponsors from public and
private sectors, is the biggest annual export activity in New South
Wales.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Excellence in Franchising Awards
'Franchise Export Award of the Year 2006'
This award recognizes exceptional performance in the
international marketplace and the role of franchising as an
important export growth sector for Australia.
'American Express Supreme Reward for Best Retailer' and 'Bank of
Queensland Best Franchise' Awards
Presented by the National Retail Association at the 2006 American
Express Rewards for Excellence, these awards recognize outstanding
business success as well as community support which is an important
part of Gloria Jean's Coffees culture. PricewaterhouseCoopers
Excellence in Franchising Awards 'Franchisor of the Year 2005'
These awards are the 'Oscars' of the franchising industry and
recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals and
organizations in the growth and development of their businesses and
their contribution towards franchising in Australia. Over 100
industry identities involved in all aspects of the sector, including
media, academia, politics, government, service providers, suppliers,
Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) volunteers and other
stakeholders, were invited to submit to a list of the 10 franchise
systems they believe are most worthy of the honor of being named
Franchisor of the Year 2005.
